Wow- New Murcielago LP640 Roadster

How does the new £125,000, 6.5 litre V12 Lamborghini roadster stacks up against the competition?

Its massive engine is capable of getting from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just about 3.4 seconds. Lamborghini unabashedly tailors its interiors with the Lamborghini drivers' wish list in mind. Leather upholstery features lozenge-shaped stitching, called “Q-citura.” A Kenwood audio system features a 6.5-inch monitor capable of playing DVDs and digital music files.

The LP640 Roadster has a more aggressive stance than the coupe. That's in large part a result of completely redesigned front and rear bumpers. Contributing to the powerful stance are new tail lamps and a diffuser that integrates the exhaust system. It's maximum speed is a staggering 205 miles per hour.

Pagani's Zonda F Roadster may very well be considered a close competitor. It features a 7.3 liter Mercedes-sourced V12 featuring 650 horses. Buyer be warned: It costs nearly twice as much, at around £300,000.

At around £370,000 the Swedish Koenigsegg CCX is well over double the cost of the LP640. But there are notable similarities between the two models. They both employ honeycomb carbon construction to produce feather-light but ultra-rigid bodies. The CCX's smaller V8 gets from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds

So yet again, if you love Lamborghinis, here is another italian stallion to add to your wish list, and at half of the cost of it's competitors, who could refuse?
